FOUNDER

RODRIGO GUTIERREZ

Corialent

12 years ago, Rodrigo decided that the Coca Colas of the world shouldn’t be the only ones who get to have all the fun in the advertising industry. He was sick of all the dull, corporate, navy blue and white B2B work out there. Business people are people too. Corialent specializes in B2B marketing that doesn’t suck. And they want to get the rest of the industry drinking that delicious KoolAid.

Root Cause Analysis Training

A company's RCA (root cause analysis) strategy is the foundation of its core competencies. When that core competency is strong, a company can use its RCA strategy to support other strategies to improve overall performance. Why? Because a company understands its own and its customers' root causes-the issues or situations that create the problems. This understanding gives companies a firm understanding of their own and their customers' root cause analysis needs and helps them plan for those needs, addressing the problems more directly and proactively than with more generic solutions that are often applied.

Explain how a robust root cause analysis training program drives constant business results and continuous improvement. Design your RCA training courses: a. Outline business problems that create customer dissatisfaction and potential loss based on objective and data-driven thinking. Define RCA functions and responsibilities.

Demonstrate how a problem-solving approach applies to real-life problems by creating real-life problem-solving scenarios. Organize training courses by posing problems you face in your organization. Focus on solving the problem, not the solution. Define four or five potential solutions that will help your company achieve its goals. Show how applying these solutions will impact the people, the environment, and the business and provide effective solutions to the root cause analysis training exercise.

Provide a realistic solution to the problems identified. You will probably not find a perfect solution immediately. Do not promise perfection right away. Be prepared for at least three or four possible routes to a satisfactory root cause analysis solution. Define what an RCA strategy really is. An effective RCA strategy is a complete, integrated solution that supports the goal and reflects your organization's values, objectives, methods, and strategies.

The purpose of the root cause analysis training exercises is to train the people in your organization to think through various approaches to organizational problems. It is also to help employees identify their personal role in solving problems. Identify individual contributions from each person to the overall solution. The trainer must know the strengths and weaknesses of the employees so that the problem-solving exercise will be focused and based. The trainer should conduct the actual assessment exercises as soon as possible after the training is concluded. This is to ensure that all participants have successfully completed the assessment.

Develop a formalized problem solving process. An effective problem-solving plan will enable you to more effectively identify the problems, develop a solution, and implement it. As part of the training for root cause analysis training, develop a formalized problem solving process that will include identification of problems, developing a solution, identifying the results of the solution, and monitoring the effectiveness of the solution. The trainer can also include procedures on how to do the problem solving exercise in real life cases. Trainees can also learn how to prepare a formal problem statement, develop a plan, develop an action plan, and follow the plan. Lastly, trainees can learn about evaluating the root cause map, preparing the final root cause map, and reviewing the map.

Demonstrate your team's capability in implementing the root cause analysis. Demonstrate how the team members communicate, coordinate, and work together to resolve issues. Demonstrate how the actions that were taken in the last few months resulted in changes and improvements in areas of business effectiveness that were identified in the problem solving exercise. Demonstrate your team's ability to communicate effectively and use any necessary technology to facilitate communication with outsiders and internally.

There are many ways to accomplish effective training in problem-solving processes. One way is through hands-on practice. Another way is through the development of a formalized problem-solving exercise. Problem-solving exercises can be carried out as a group project, one-off projects, or integrated into the organization's system of management. Problem-solving exercise is a great way to keep everyone on track. Problem analysis training is an excellent investment for improving business efficiency.
